Original Rocketry Planet Build Thread
(2/17/09) Last year, almost exactly, my best friend and I took a challenge to build a "simple" rocket to take to an ESL launch at MDRA, since you can't go and not fly anything....
Working almost non-stop over our spring break, traveling 4 hours to get simple BT50 body tubes, and packing already small tubes full of electronics, batteries, parachutes, and most importantly, engines, we came up with a rocket that would become more than just a 3FNC... Paladin had emerged............
Unfortunately, due to 1/2 stupidity and 1/2 ejection charge failure, the poor bird crashed - just a few months after her debut launch on an I-200 and 3x E-9s airstarted (it was pretty awesome).
Nothing lives forever, huh?
Well we're about to change that and bring this hero back from the dead......... Stay tuned.
